Charlottesville
Cougar Beatrice delivers a vibrant fusion of gainy rock and soothing melodies with hints of funk, crafting songs that unfold melodically in ways that are accessible and familiar, yet complex and surprising. Their live performances are a high-energy spectacle, leaving audiences both nostalgic
and exhilarated.
Starting at college bars like Coupe Deville’s and Crozet Pizza, Cougar Beatrice went on to play downtown at Fridays After Five at the Ting Pavilion and both headlining and supporting acts at the Southern. They’ve continued to stay active in the area, with a monthly residency at the Whiskey Jar.
When the pandemic hit, the band lived together in Charlottesville and created the album “Colors of I”, a story-line of originals that move from struggle to triumph, finishing with the cathartic “Glory Glory.”
